After a request for "Raw Black Metal," this is what I thought of. Sure, it isn't
extremely raw, but the guitar tone has a viscious bite to it. It's from France, but it is so far away from the LLN style as to actually be musical.
This is ideal when it comes to atmosphere. This actually makes me feel like I'm freezing to death, while wandering through vast, epic landscapes. The cold air seeps into my lungs, giving off pain yet feeling somewhat relaxing. My teeth are beginning to feel frozen, and I can't close my mouth. Still, I continue on, until this album concludes. Then, I hit the repeat button, and sink back into my expedition.
There really is no other way to describe this. Recommended for people who like their metal black. Others need not apply, this will not change your opinion of black metal.
